This used to be a favourite of mine. In the bonus I would get 5 -9 rooms with multipliers and make great money. Then one day it just changed and like you, I would always only get two rooms. Bonus after bonus. I reported it to the slot manager but they looked at me like I was crazy and kept saying it was random. I even called one over for a bonus and again got only two rooms. But it happened to you as well. So either it's a glitch or just programmed not to give out a good bonus. Obviously I stopped playing it. Wonder if anyone else had that experience.

The Mystical Dragons slot machine by WMS is a classic 'Money Burst' slot!
For those not familiar, 'Money Burst' slots are characterized by the first two reels being a 2x2 square, essentially upping the volatility requiring the player to match symbols in both reels which can be difficult to do, obviously!
The bonus is triggered one of three ways: by matching all symbols in the first two reels, by landing bonus symbols in columns 3 thru 5, or achieving both of those goals. Achieving one of those goals will award you five free spins and achieving both will award you twenty free spins! I can tell you though, in all of my years playing these type of games, I have yet to achieve a 20-spin bonus round. Maybe one day!
Money Burst slots differentiate themselves via the bonus round: in this particular game landing three bonus symbols awards you five free spins with one fully-random wild reel in reels 3 thru 5 with the other two reels being award one wild symbol.
I believe if you initiate the bonus by fully matching the first two reels, you receive 5 'standard' free spins although without the wild dragons feature.
